  1. Extremists are usually just that… Extreme and biased and not entirely
    accurate.

  2. thats why you should be looking at what dr. mcdougall is saying. STARCH GO
    GET SOME

  3. In general you lose nutrients in cooking, but not always. For example
boiling or steaming increases the availability of antioxidants in carrots,
spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, cabbage, peppers, etc.

  4. Fully Raw Kristina weighs 15 lbs. more now than when she was eating
“regular” food. I’ve seen a couple of her videos in which she talks about
    how sick she was.

  5. I have learned a lot from the vshvideo videos and Dr William Harris. I
consider Dr William Harris a living treasure of hawaii and I hope Bill will
reach 90 years and 100 years and one day reporters will be flocking to
interview Dr Harris about his longevity.

  6. For more protein, still prefer to cook sprouted nuts, seeds, legumes,
buckwheat, quinoa bec of habit and maybe it is more digestible cooked and
maybe less toxins. I have tried the sprouted mung, lentil and adzuki by
truroots com sold by costco. In the office, I pour hot water from coffee
machine and microwave but after eating always causes gas . Also trying out
sprouted quinoa trio, sprouted lentil trio and sprouted mung from truroots.

  7. I think the key word is “a little”, it was a small part of their diets. A
survey of the Okinawa diet in the late 1800’s found 93% of their diet was
    sweet potatoes.

  8. She also has an African body which is a completely different build and set
of genes from girls like Kristina. If kristina spent time working on her
muscles, I’m sure she could bulk up, but obviously she chooses cardio over
    that.

  9. how long have you been high carb low fat raw vegan? im guessing less than 5
    years?

  10. Hey guys, do you belief every shit from youtube, only because the speaking
person looks like it is faithfully?

  11. That’s like a handful examples out of how many plants? That’s not the best
argument in the world. It still destroys vitamins. And making food more
readily available for digestion, can also be done by a juicer or blender.
Make green smoothies and forget cooking. Look at “aura pictures” before and
after cooking, there is(“obviously”) something to this thesis that life
dies when it’s cooked. And plants are weak when they’re not organic.

  12. What a wonderful presentation! I’m so grateful we live in an age where you
can find a doctor to actually back up what us ‘crazy raw vegans’ are doing.
It’s no longer just about looking younger, fitter and energetic as proof
it’s great for you. The science is catching up!

  13. FRK also weighs 15 lbs. more now than before she went vegan. She is just
naturally thin no matter what she does. My sister is the same way.

  14. Dr. Harris is one of the premier advocates of a raw vegan diet alongside
Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina. People would be wise to listen to their
sage wisdom rather than the drivel espoused by Wolfe, Monarch, and Clement.

  15. Longevity researchers went to Okinawa for centenarian studies bec the place
produced many people 100 years of age in spite of eating a little bit of
animal products which was probably their source of vitamin b12. Once we see
those vegan centenarian studies like maybe from Loma Linda CA, I am sure
the publicity will convince many to adopt a 100% vegan diet. Dr Joel
Fuhrman often mentions undiscovered micronutrients in vegan food and animal
products might have them also (vitamin b12 and others).

  16. Threatening people huh? Be careful, you can get a lawsuit for things like
    that.

  17. B12 deficiencies were more common among meat eaters and livestock animals
too before industrial B12 supplements were invented. Livestock animals are
supplemented prophylactically or at least as a remedy for B12 deficiency.
The research of Mozafar demonstrated that plants can absorb B12 from B12
rich soils. However, this is not a reliable source of B12 for vegans
because plants have no B12 requirement and therefore are grown with
fertilizers that have trace amounts, if any, of B12.

  18. I’m raw vegan and I personally think that Kristina looks under weight and
also much much older than she actually is.

  19. Doing my best to eat more raw food to avoid destroying the antioxidants. I
cannot go 100% raw bec I like to eat mushrooms to help prevent cancer,
heart disease and diabetes. Dr Michael Greger and Dr Joel Fuhrman say to
cook mushrooms. I eat as many as 6 types of mushrooms regularly and I try
as many as 20 different mushrooms. There are now brands of mushrooms
(agaricus bisporus) which have vitamin d listed in the nutrition label
which I eat to reduce dependence on tablets when no sunlight.

  20. Mozafar only looked at 3 different plants: soybeans, barley, and spinach
and compared their change in B12 for different types of growing soil. For
plants grown in cow dung enriched soil compared to normal growing soil,
there was no change in B12 for soybeans, and 2x to 3x more B12 in the
Barley and Spinach. But even the increased B12 was very small and falls way
short of the B12 RDA. So based on this research, even if you grow your
plants in organic soil, they may not supply enough B12.

  21. Your statement that at a size 0/2 you would have “no hips, ass or breasts”
send’s out the wrong message (ef being fit and healthy I want guys to like
me), is BS, and is only a wall you’ve built for yourself to forever be
8/10. I suppose in America where the average size is 14 for a woman, you
should feel good about yourself. But I (Katrice Alvarez, Facebook it, using
my hubbys name) am between those size’s. 32B, 22, 33. Hips, curves, ass,
and there is jiggle. Don’t perpetuate your horrid ideals.

  22. It can be difficult to make a case for 100% vegan based on desire for
longevity since most long lived societies like those in Okinawa do eat a
little animal product. The Japanese even eat some raw seafood since raw is
probably the original human diet and clams are the best sources for vitamin
b12. The earliest vegetarians in India relied on dairy products to avoid
vitamin b12 deficiencies before b12 tablets were invented.

  23. you are truly beautiful. your face speaks for itself. and your body is
definitely something for the rest of us to strive for. I’m happy to have
found your videos. I’ll be back and recommend you.

  24. menopause is a true bitch!! I am now using HRT over 15 years! The biggest
health decision never made!! I worked for many years with many
    herbals,acupuncture,meditations,natural estrogens,vitamins etc. I had
devastating hot flashes and loss of sleep. I couldn’t stay in my own skin!
Mine started when I was young(Iaround 38 or so) I exercised and ate well
for year. All this strictly genetic, just see if your mom suffered and you
will see what it will be like for you!

  25. Thank you Tanya. Video has wonderful info on your view of menopause. It
gives me inspiration to increase amount of raw in my every meal.

  26. I have noticed that male menopause is even worse than menopause. Men
experience a big decline in the production of the male hormone testosterone
with aging, and they never seem to get out of it…the phrase “cranky old
men” and ‘Mid-Life Crisis “ comes from that, They get emotionally cranky
    and depressed worse than women…

  27. Came across a fantastic website called the doctor within dot come that has
an article about menopause called “Every woman Needs to Read this Chapter
Now” and talked about how menopause symptoms like hot flashes are unheard
of amongst populations that eat healthy whole food diets, unlike the
Western diet. It made me think of you – you are a living example of the
amazing power of raw food – especially raw greens. You are such an
inspiration, Tanya – thank you so much.

  28. @Suzan4B Her lifestyle seems to bear fruit, just look at her. AMAZING! I’m
hopeful it will make a difference for me too. I just hope I can follow
    through.

  29. You are such a lovely person .. thank you… good on you! Uplift women
    every where .. x

  30. I totally agree with you, especially when you say that had you continued to
eat a cooked diet, you would have continued to stay “roubinesque,” and that
eating a cooked food diet changes our bodies in a negative way. Since I
changed to a raw food diet 6 mos. ago @ age 53, I have lost 20#. I just
turned 54, and I’m trying to gain weight because my family thinks I am too
thin now, but hard as I try, I cannot gain wt.! I haven’t had a period in 2
yrs. but I have absolutely no symptoms!

  31. @tonyazavasta Hi Tonya this whole thing makes me curious because when I
read the china study t colin Campbell indicated that it’s much healthier to
have a shorter fertile life. It was one thing I disagreed with as it
doesn’t enhance our survival of the species. On the other hand if your
body’s biological clock doesn’t seem to have changed, that would indicate a
longer fertile life. Would love your take on this as people like you are
    relatively rare!

  32. Is this ok to use if I have pimples? I also do gentle at home glycolic
peels at home to control acne. Do you think brushing would be too vigorous
    for me?

  33. People fall apart because they don’t take care of themselves, not because
    of “aging”

  34. @nyxs60 After cleaning their bodies through fasting and the raw food diet
often women get their menstruation cycle back. Please, read the article Raw
Foods and Menstruation on my website for more information.

  35. Many find that even with acne they can brush, but gently at first and get
good results. But the important thing to understand is that acne/pimples
are not a skin problem, they are a gut problem. Please, go to my website
and do a search for the article “Solutions for skin blemishes”.
