  1. counting calories and eating healthy real food no processed foods and junk foods, no sodas either

    around 1200-1400 for those who want to loose weight assuming they do 30 minutes of exercise a day (cardio)

  2. go to your local diabetes site…seriously…it works like wonders…but no more “dieting” you have to change habits and eat for your body wants.

  3. eat in moderation and do regular exercise.
    I personally think that the best theory is to not ban any foods and to avoid snackingk, but if you do have to snack make sure it is something light, eg. nuts, seeds dried fruit etc.

  4. breakfast:
    lightly toasted bread with some jam on top. and a piece of fruit to go with that and some fruit juice.

    lunch:
    get 2 waffles and on one waffle put some honey or any topping you may want, and on the other waffle put some cut up fruit like an apple or banana. a home made smoothie would go perfectly with that (try cutting up some apples and drop them into a blender then maybe pop some strawberries in too then add some milk, a cube of ice and blend-yummy)

    dinner:
    give yourself a treat and make something nice, maybe some chicken stir-fry with rice and not noodles. try to go along with something tasty and light, foods based around rice, pasta and things like that are an excellent choice. have any drink with that, avoid wine and drinks of that kind, settle for some good old fashioned apple juice or tea (try to have your tea with maximum 3 tea spoons of sugar)

    dessert:
    yummy, the best part of meals. i’d say frozen yogurt or a bowl of ice-cream with a couple strawberries should do it…

    snacks:
    you have to be really careful with snacks. go for light things like raisins or nuts. you may want to try getting some natrual yogurt and adding a couple of raisins to it to make it a bit sweeter.

If you can’t stick with it, then you will not be able to use it. The cabbage soup diet, the Hollywood diet, the Atkins diet, and all the other ones that are on the market will not help you, if you can’t stick to them.     You have to find a diet plan that works for you. It might be that you don’t have time to measure and count everything, then you need to find something that works that does not include measuring and count. You have to know you before you start any diet plan. Can you live with the plan? Not the first week but the weeks down the line!

If you take the elevator at work, then start taking the stairs. If you eat out at lunch, leave some food behind or choose the salad (watch out for the salad dressings, this can make your salad more calories then a cheeseburger.) After you have adjusted to the exercise, then add in your diet. The increase in activity will help you feel better. Then start in on the diet.

    One thing at a time. If you try to do to much at once, then you might end up doing nothing after a short while.
