Question by roxy: what do you do if your cat is obese but wont eat any diet food?
my cat weighs 23 pounds and its been super fat ever since i got it. but when i try to put it on diet food its trys to scratch me and gets all mad… what should i do?

cut his food back or mix his diet food with his regural food and slowley over time take his regurlar food out you can also but his food down and if he has not ate it in 30 minutes take it up and try agian later

Feed it less. Don’t suddenly give it a tiny amount, but just gradually decrease the amount you feed him every day. A normal cat barely needs a cup of dry food a day.
Seriously, stop giving him regular food, he won’t starve, and make him get some exercise. Put him on a leash and walk him around the yard, or neighbourhood.
Put your cat on a scedule and don’t feed him alot and have his food out for about 20 minutes then take it away even if he didn’t eat bring the food out at least twice daily for 20 minutes and do the same both times even if he doesn’t eat take it away after20 mins he will adapt to when you take the food out and he’ll have a balanced meal every day
