  1. Depression
Everybody feels sad once in a while. Depression, on the other hand, is a
complex condition characterized by profound sadness, lethargy, feelings of
worthlessness, and a loss of interest in social activities. About 15
million people in the U.S. are diagnosed with clinical depression each
    year.

  2. Okay, this is true and honest, but what about the poor person who’s on food
stamps? I do try to get healthy food, but I cannot afford it all month
long, only the first few days worth and then no more money and I have to if
I can save the money, get two hotdogs a night from the near by gas station.
    – And yes, I’ve been depressed lately, being w.o a job isn’t making it any
    better.

  3. This is very true…. when I use to eat trash from checkers and pizza etc,
I felt weak like an old man… and I was irritable.

  4. Certain nutrients? This guy is clueless. To keep your brain happy, you need
long chain fatty acids that are 20 and 22 carbon atoms long, such as DHA
and EPA, which are both omega-3 fats. Herbivores, such as zebras and cows,
are really good at up converting the fatty acids in plants. We have short
digestive systems and we do a poor job of this, which is one reason why
vegans often suffer from depression. The best you can get from plants are
fatty acids that are only 18 carbon atoms long.

  5. Awesome !! 🙂 I’ve just posted my [feeble] attempt at the same topic i.e.
Paleo Before-After Pics, as a video response. I’m kinda new to YouTube and
don’t know for sure how the video response thingie works, but here is my

  6. Sesame seeds are a great source of dopamine. They’re a great help for those
experiencing difficulties with sleep or depression. They will help regulate
serotonin and melatonin, and best of all the’re all natural.

  7. there is no evidence to prove people who suffer depression have reduced
levels of serotonin or any other neurotransmitters.the chemical imbalance
theory is a very stupid one made to con people into taking drugs that raise
serotonin.like prozac and other ssris.this “myth” was made very popular to
sell prozac by Eli Lilly.-the only biochemical imbalances in the brains of
people who see psychiatrists are the ones put in there by the
    psychiatrst-Dr Peter Breggin.MD

  8. An prozac a day keeps the doctor away. Made a lot of money for the
pharmacratic inquisitioners, but I guess its back to the APPLE.

  9. Soy is very bad for you !!! V-B12 is very good for the brain and
diet, vitamins alone is all you need.

  10. Food isn’t the only thing that can help change a person’s mood. Music can
effect you depending on what you listen too also. Humans are pretty
    complicated. 😛

  11. Nice variety of foods to have at your disposal. Love those bell peppers &
mushrooms! Lemon flavored tuna’s also a favorite of mine. I sneak in some
cheese with the tuna sandwiches but have a fast metabolism so takes a bit
of time to gain weight from foods like that. Geeez… you get through a lot
    of eggs! 😉

  12. Nah, eat the whole thing. Don’t believe everything you hear about
cholesterol, fat, etc. They’ve changed their minds so many times about
what’s healthy, what’s not, that they have pretty well shown they have no
idea what they’re talking about. Your body is what regulates your
cholesterol, not the foods you eat. Plus, the yolk is where the majority of
    the nutrients are.

  13. @David Benjamin – Sweet potatoes, whatever you wanna call them. They’re
labeled as yams in the grocery store. I know, I know…

  14. It affects people differently. Personally, I like going to the gym high
sometimes. it doesn’t sedate me like it does for most people. it helps me
get in the zone during my workout and push my body further. the munchies
are a huge benefit too so long as you don’t fill yourself with garbage.
Also, I always sleep very deeply at night after smoking weed at all during
the day and getting good sleep is essential to muscle building.

  15. @prophetsarereal – I love almond butter. And I use a brita water filter now
and fill up a BPA-free water bottle.

  16. @pspabp – Because whole wheat and brown rice have more nutrients that your
body needs to build muscle and supplies more energy.

  17. I’m 15 and my muscles r actually really big and I weigh 170 pounds. My
doctor said its almost all muscle but I just need to lose like 10-20 pounds
in my stomach for my 6 pack to show again so would all the fat in the meat
make me gain wait or no?

  18. @amc3232 – Yes, I usually eat 1 or 2 whole eggs, then the rest egg whites.
If you have a family history of high cholesterol levels then just ask your
doctor what’s best for you personally.

  19. @Jack Meoff – Yep, that’s all good stuff! Although milk has high sugar
content and can lead to excess fat gains. But I still drink organic 2%
    every now and then.

  20. @irtbagzrus – Nothing, I must have hit it with once of the bags by accident
as I was setting them down…
