Want To Lose Weight? Diet Plan For Success

There is little doubt that obesity is a serious concern, and the motivator for many a lose weight diet plan. The number of obese people continues to increase world- wide, and most of those people want to lose weight. Diet plan after diet plan comes out, and the problem seems to grow, rather than shrink. Why do you think this is?

If any of those plans were manageable for the long term they might work. The fact is, though, that most diet plans were created by people who know nothing about nutrition, even less about what foods work best during weight loss and are simply out to make money from those who are unfortunate enough to have a significant weight problem.

Can We Fix the System?
Did you know that the average age when a girl starts to diet is now 8 years old? Young girls are more afraid of being overweight than they are of nuclear war or of losing their parents. There is something very wrong here.

Do you know what the problem is? The problem is that we no longer see food as life sustaining, we see it as the enemy and considering the ingredients in most of the foods you will find at your supermarket, the image isnt entirely wrong.

Rather than focus on teaching children to eat properly, nutritiously and happily, we load them down with chicken nuggets, soda and diet products and then expect them to stay healthy and slim. By the time they reach adulthood their ideas about food are so skewed, it is no surprise that a majority of people fight weight issues for the rest of their lives.

Lets get off this defective merry go round and start at square one.

Back to Basics
Im not asking you to give up eating everything. I am suggesting that you give up the foods that do little for you nutritionally, and certainly harm you when it comes to weight loss. Top of the list artificial sweeteners.

There isnt a single sweetener that doesnt have a questionable medical history. Whether it is associated with cancer, inflammation, brain development issues or some other dread disease, artificial sweeteners also confuse the brain in a way that can hinder weight loss. There is no reason to use any of them. Either drink water, or, if you must have some tea or coffee, make sure you pick organic and then sweeten with either stevia or honey. At least your body can recognize those ingredients.

Next eliminate commercial milk products. If you really want to have milk products, and many people do, get raw milk products instead. Those contain the digestive enzymes that will help your body to process the milk.

Commercial dairy farms routinely inject their cattle with hormones, antibiotics and goodness knows what else. None of those things are good for you, and as your body works to break down those foreign substances, it cant be breaking down fat.

Finally start buying whole foods again. Whole grains are infinitely superior to any refined grains. Grass-fed meats that grew at their own pace offer less saturated fats, lots more omega 3s, and they contain more vitamin E and CLA, important ingredients in preventing a number of cancers. Wild caught fish offers many of the same benefits, as does organically raised poultry. Each contains its own set of nutritional gold for you to enjoy.

Also make sure you get plenty of organic vegetables and fruits, since they provide fiber, vitamins and minerals. Once you start eating this way you will wonder why you ever ate anything else. This is the healthiest lose weight diet plan you can have–one that keeps you from getting hungry!

Do You Want the Best Online Diet Plan?

With the shear number and variety of diet plans on offer, it is little wonder people find it difficult to choose the best online diet plan. Unless you have some knowledge of nutrition it is difficult to judge the value of a particular program and whether it will help you lose weight and how quickly that will happen. They range from the so called fad programs through to programs which have well designed and balanced diets.

How to choose which diet is good

A healthy balanced diet will have a wide range of foods from which you can choose for your meals.

There will be selections from:-

Fruit…   vegetables

Grains…   nuts and seeds

Eggs and low-fat dairy products… beans and legumes

Sea food … lean meat and poultry

There can also be some spices and herbs, some natural sweeteners and of course plenty of water.

Most would agree that a diet which includes fresh, organically grown vegetables and fruits, whole grains and legumes — results in a lower risk of many types of cancers and chronic diseases.

Also you would have higher energy levels and a general sense of well-being.

Numerous studies of a type where contrasting diets consumed by individuals is monitored for their development of disease over a long period, years or decades-have shown that people who consumed healthy foods had less risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD), arthritis, and cancer compared to  people whose diets had a large proportion of processed and refined foods.

Conclusion

In general, a sound healthy diet will consist largely of unprocessed or lightly processed foods which will be eaten raw or cooked. There will be more emphasis on vegetables, fresh fruit, grains, beans and legumes. Eggs, low-fat dairy products, seafood, lean meat and poultry should make up a smaller proportion of the diet. Plenty of water should be included in your daily intake,

8 glasses per day is the usual recommendation. It can be rather confusing trying to decide which foods to include in a menu and if that is the case there are good healthy balanced diet plans available at a reasonable cost.

There are several weight loss programs available each of which can help you lose weight safely and confidently. They are flexible and make use of natural foods and provide a choice of menus, including vegetarian. To see a review of a selection of 3 weight loss programs recommended

Cholesterol Reducing Foods – Outstanding Foods You Want in Your Diet

If cholesterol reducing foods are a new concept to you, then you will want to thoroughly read this article. You see, most individuals turn to cholesterol medication when they learned that their lipid levels are high. However, this just does not make sense.

Considering the dangerous side effects of statin medication such as the potential for damage to your muscles, kidneys and liver, it makes much more sense to turn to foods for high cholesterol first, and leave medication as a last resort.

Cholesterol reducing foods can be extremely effective. I recently read an article about a doctor who could not tolerate the side effects of medication so he was forced to try to use foods and diet to reduce his cholesterol. He was surprised to find out the results that he experienced rescue to or better than what most of his patients experienced using medication.

The best foods for high cholesterol are going to be those that contain high amounts of fiber and plant sterols. These would include vegetables, fruits and nuts. The combination of plant sterols (naturally occurring substances in all plants) and fiber is powerful.

This helps reduce cholesterol levels in two ways. First of all, the fiber helps eliminate cholesterol from the body before it even has a chance to be absorbed into the bloodstream. Plant sterols on the other hand have been shown to compete for absorption with cholesterol, permitting less of it to get absorbed.

Many individuals are surprised to hear that nuts are among the best cholesterol reducing foods. They have always heard that nuts are high in fat and should be excluded from any diet plan. However, the truth is that nuts contain fiber and the omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to supporting a healthy body and mind. These fats will in no way the increase your LDL cholesterol levels.

A diet that is rich in cholesterol reducing foods and contains little saturated fat will be the most effective way for you to develop healthy cholesterol readings. I encourage you to visit my website where you discuss in more detail the diets and foods that reduce cholesterol.
