I see a silly comment about a study showing how “milk stimulates growth of
… cancer cells in culture.” which is a good thing. Helping cells grow in
a laboratory culture shows that the food source studied has lots of
nutrients, and that is all it proves. It does NOT prove that milk CAUSES
cancer, which is the snarky innuendo that the person was hoping would fool
you. Milk, to make a long story short, does NOT cause any kind of cancer,
as many thousands of studies have shown.
Great video – but what about the oxalate? I heard they stop all the calcium
in the plants from being absorbed? tanks !
Wow! Absolutely great video and a lot of truth spoken here! REALLY glad I
found your vids! Thank you.
well, silly me, you are right in everything you say, as “reader” will
surely see, have a nice day 🙂
The reader will want to know what teachers on nutrition in college teach
their students, and I can answer that, since I teach nutrition in college.
These anti-dairy videos are cranked out by the score by militant vegans who
wan to eliminate animal use. They don’t have any real data to castigate
dairy, so they make things up, and then abuse people with an education who
comment on these videos, as you can see. They don’t bring any trustworthy
info to this discussion, just rants, farts & lies.

“trustworthy information from a current textbook” lol no need to even enter
in to a discussion if you rely on a textbook to provide ‘trustworthy’ info
are dried figs and dates good for calcium
The reader may wish to know that all current textbooks of nutrition, like
my September, 2012, “Present Knowledge in Nutrition,” by Erdman et al,
inform us that dairy products are perfectly safe & highly effective at
providing nutrients for us, especially calcium, as only 4 servings provide
the RDA thereof, while no realistic plant source can do so in less than 9.2
servings (bok choy). Kale requires 13 servings & broccoli 18, so we need
either dairy, supplements or sardines.
People who have never darkened the doorstep of a collge or university have
little understanding & appreciation of the massive efforts which go into
publishing textbooks. Many studies & articles are published every year,
most of which go into the proverbial dust-bin of history, but some of which
shine as good examples of properly designed & executed research studies.
Experts in every field distinguish themselves by writing Reviews, which
summarize many studies. (cont.)
what ph is your body suppose to be? you say alkaline but how do you know I
know we’re not carnivores like dogs but they get crystals if they are to
alkaline wont that happen to people too?
One particularly witless question/comment has focused on the supposed
strangeness of humans consuming the milk of another species, as if this is
somehow wrong. Humans do zillions of things which no animal will ever do,
because we can, and they can’t. It’s as simple as that. We can take
advantage of, in this case, the tendency for cows to product milk, which
turns out to be a terrific food for humans, especially growing ones and us
older ones. The activists will say anything to try to fool you.
Ok, call me uneducated twit if you wish 🙂 I quoted your textbook, brought
in names of qualified nutritionists and teachers who advise to vegans as
well, you ignored that 🙂 Oh, and you wouldnt just flunk me out of your
class on a whim neither, be sure of that! Or at least not on any
respectable college 🙂
This video is one of the worst examples of ignorant activist tripe on the
“net. He rambles about plant sources and supposed dairy problems without
mentioning one single number, such as the bioavailability (which he had
trouble pronouncing, so he gave up!) of calcium from various sources. I
have just yesterday gotten the September, 2012 edition of “Present
Knowledge in Nutrition,” by Erdman et al, which destroys everything this
activist spews. Dairy has so much bioavailable calcium that (cont.)
The only realistic food source of calcium which can readily provide the RDA
thereof for kids in dairy products. Vegans can enjoy many benefits of the
vegan dietary life, but getting enough calcium is not one of them, they
must take supplements or fortified foods. All this tripe about unrealistic
plant sources only confuses other uneducated people, which are my concern.
Mothers of kids don’t need to be needlessly concerned about dairy safety,
when it is perfectly safe & highly effective.
It’s funny how you make me look like the one without evidence when you fail
to respond to the fact about net less of calcium from milk. No need to
reply it just seems you are directing energies to where they are not
needed, have a good day

I mention all this to help understand the respect I have for my September,
2012, “Present Knowledge in Nutrition,” by Erdman et al, which clearly
attests to the perfect safety & high effectiveness of dairy products to
provide nutrients for us, especially calcium. Only 4 servings provide the
RDA thereof for kids, while no realistic plant source can do so. Bok choy
requires 9.2 servngs, kale: 13 & broccoli 18. Impossible, yet vegans keep
claiming that plants provide enough calcium. That is a lie.
These anti-dairy activists don’t have any good data to denigrate dairy
products, so they have made up three amazing lies: that dairy causes cancer
(proven not to be true), that milk has pus in it (not true at all) and that
milk somehow takes calcium OUT of our bones, which is not only not true,
but makes you wonder how many times these activists were dropped on their
heads when they were babies. That is the silliest, or, if you will, the
stupidest thing imaginable.
yep, well, i came here cuz even thought dring over 40 (literally) glasses
of milk a day, i have calcium spots on my beutiful nails!!! i dont get it!!!
This poor activist has had to remove ALL the comments, since I and others
have revealed how little he knows about nutrition. Check with a Dietician,
or a teacher of nutrition in college, like myself, to learn the truth about
foods which provide calcium.
This account seems to be referring to pasteurised milk. The vegan diet has
many good things going for it. But you have allowed your philosophy to
cloud your judgement. Raw Milk Facts 1. Contains lactase and lactobacillus
so lactose intolerant can drink it. 2. Contains Phosphotase – Increases
calcium absorption 3. Contains a variety of probiotic fauna 4. Contains
many useful enzymes 5. Fats consist of good cholesterol Do some research.
Cows eat grass, but bacteria and enzymes digest it.
stop spouting propaganda
The reader might wonder about comments about how people in other countries
don’t get much dairy, and they don’t seem to be falling over with calcium
deficiency. This kind of comment merely reveals how little the commenter
understands physiology & metabolism, since osteoporosis does not make the
blood calcium go down, and people who have osteoporosis usually do not know
it, until their bones collapse or break. This can occur very slowly &
without symptoms, leading to a bent spine, etc.
Sincerely appearing, but highly biased anti-dairy activists keep cranking
out these videos by the score, having no one to answer to when they lie,
mis-state and make snarky innuendo about dairy safety or effectiveness.
Mothers of growing kids, who need 1,200-1,300mg/day of calcium, might be
confused by all this inaccurate or outright wrong propaganda, so I feel
obligated to help them avoid being confused. Since they typically have not
had much education, I provide the latest trustworthy info.
